In the fourth quarter of 2023, the travel and local apps market in Bulgaria saw significant activity. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 apps according to Sensor Tower data.

EKO Smile Bulgaria launched in mid-October and experienced a notable start with weekly downloads initially peaking at 19.2K in early October. However, downloads gradually declined to 3.9K by the end of December.

OMV MyStation в България showed a steady decline in weekly downloads throughout the quarter. Starting at 5.6K in early October, the downloads decreased to around 2.2K by the last week of December.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel maintained a consistent download rate, with a slight increase towards the end of the year, peaking at 3.5K in the final week of December. Active users remained stable around 65K, with a slight rise to 69.2K in the last week.

SPARK car sharing saw fluctuating download numbers, starting at 1.9K in early October, peaking at 2.6K in mid-December, and then dropping to 679 by the end of the month. Active users also varied, peaking at 9.3K in early December before dropping to 6.7K in the last week.

TaxiMe experienced a significant increase in downloads, particularly in December, reaching 4.3K in the second week. Active users followed a similar trend, rising from 3.1K in late September to a high of 4.3K in mid-December before slightly declining to 3.3K by the end of the month.
